About Dr. Kate Elzinga 

Dr. Elzinga is a fellowship-trained plastic surgeon, certified by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.

In addition to general plastic surgery, her clinical interests include microsurgery, peripheral nerve surgery, hand and wrist surgery, and reconstructive breast surgery.

She is a Clinical Lecturer in the Division of Plastic Surgery in the Department of Surgery at the University of Calgary.

Education

Dr. Elzinga completed medical school at the University of Calgary, a plastic surgery residency at the University of Alberta, a hand/wrist/peripheral nerve fellowship at the University of Michigan, and a microsurgery fellowship focused on breast surgery at the University of Manitoba.

 

Dr. Elzinga teaches medical students, residents, and fellows.

 

She is a member of the University of Calgary Department of Surgery Quality Improvement Group.
